Success/evolution: what are real "success stories" in evolution? Answer: Rats, bats or antelopes, for example. These three groups dominate the world of mammals, both in number and ecological distribution.
Most successful: bony fish are most successful as they make up almost 50% of all vertebrate species. There are hundreds of times as many species as the primates and five times as many as all mammals put together.
